See Latvia take on Canada in Halifax '08
Latvia has once again qualified to play in the elite level
World Hockey Championships, which for the first time will
take place in hockey's homeland, Canada. As luck would have
it, Latvia once again has been drawn into a group that will
see them play not only the host Canadian team in the first
round, but also their southern neighbours the USA, against
whom they have a nearly .500 record all time, as well as
their newest rivals, the Slovenians, whom they've relied
on several times in recent years to solidify their place
in the top ten of international ice hockey teams.
In honour of this historic event, The Latvian Hockey Fanclub
in Canada, working with the Canadian organizing group and
Kravis travel has arranged for a special ticket package
available only to Latvian Canadian fans. This unique deal
will let you see all of Canada's, Latvia's and the United
States preliminary round games (six games in total)to be
held in historic Halifax, Nova Scotia. This deal is not
available to the general public, who have much pricier
packages at their exposure. Single game tickets are not
being offered, as the event is expect to sell out entirely.
At the time being, 63 Latvian Canadian fans have already
signed up. Another thousand or so are expected from Latvia.
Only 6 guaranteed packages remain. The cost of the
six game exclusive package is $440.00 cdn.
